Well we did it! Three weeks ago we closed on our first house. Here she is...
Since then we've been working ourselves silly building a fence and finishing our deck that had no top boards or railings. Tonight is the first night in two weeks that I've been able to sit down and relax so I'm able to get this little bloggy-blog going!
Now here's a little information about our new home
1. We found this home on our first day of house hunting. It was a foreclosure so it was the only house we saw that we hadn't already stalked online. It didn't have any interior photos online, just one crappy picture of the front. So when we pulled into the driveway for the first time I was blown away by the exterior and started chanting "please be nice inside, please be nice inside..."
2. It was nice inside too (WOOT!), but still needed a lot of TLC. See #3
3. We've come to find out that our house was vacant for over a year. That explains all of the cobwebs, dead bugs and dead mouse we found.
4. We closed on the house on May 16th and since then we've spent countless hours cleaning, packing, moving, unpacking, cleaning more, building a deck, and building a fence.
In the coming days I'll share some photos of our very first projects in our new digs. We are super happy with the house and feel so blessed to call this place our own. Stay tuned...
